I applied regular action, so I find out if I make it in by April. I am really hoping and praying that I make it in, but I know that there is a chance I won't (though I really try to not accept that). I don't know if anyone would be here from last year or years before, but I just wanted to ask you guys who didn't get accepted, what did you do? I am contemplating waiting a semester and reapplying, or going to a certain college for a semester.

If you don't get in, talk immediately to the transfer admissions officer (Gantt?) and ask what specific courses you should take at another fine four year institution in order to be considered for transfer.

It is easier to transfer after freshman year than to get in as a freshman. A friend of mine was first denied (1290 SAT, top 15% of his class), went to another large Catholic university, and transferred in as a soph. Very happy, too. But be aware, housing is tougher for transfers, but still quite doable. Good luck either way.

Thanks, I suppose we will see in < 3 months if it was meant to be.

I'm in a similar situation I guess, if I don't get in I'll consider another great school and then just transfer maybe.
