accepted..screwed up on ib exams... ND rescinding admission offer???

ok... i just did my ib exams... i was predicted a 36.. but theres no way in HELL im going to get that in real exam.. i sorta blanked out for some reason.. im really scared that nd will rescind their admission decision... what is considered as a significant enough of a drop to be rescinded?? does this happen??

any input is helpful.. thank youuuuuu

No way, I can't see them rescinding for that. I don't know much about IB, granted, but usually for them to rescind you need to be getting D's or F's. Relax, I am sure you are fine

Calm down. They only look at that for further credit. If your grades are fine then you are fine. Chronic worrying is not good for the human person; its this unrelenting numeral mentality that makes the college process so miserable.

LOLLLLLLLL true true... its just that im from canada.. and most canadian universities' admission offers are conditional.. so i thought that it would be the same for ND.. so i was freaking.. thinking I might even end up in like a community college

According to ND's admissions web page, IB exams are used for credit and placement. Also, it says they give credit only for a 6 or 7 on an HL exam. SL exams are not used for placement.
When most US colleges send their acceptances, they are conditional on keeping classroom grades. Did your admissions package say that you had to get your IB diploma or just keep up your grades?
Is everyone in your class trying to get an IB diploma? If you don't get your IB diploma, do you still graduate with a school diploma? My daughter is a senior in her school's IB program (US school), but there are only about 10/300 students in the program. A lot of students won't even consider the IB program because of TOK and the extended essay. They would rather pick and choose their AP courses. They think IB a lot more work with marginal, if any, benefit.
Seems to me that, unless your acceptance was conditional on getting an IB diploma, blowing an IB exam is like blowing an AP exam. You don't get credit.

because im not from states im not too familiar on AP's... so how does it work for AP's?? if you do really bad on your AP's.. lets say a 2 or whatever.. would ND do anything about that?

Doing poorly on APs won't cause a school to rescind admission. You just can't skip an entry level course to move into a higher level. S has already warned me that his Spanish Language AP score won't be pretty.

I'm not familiar with IB policies, so I hope the same is true for you.

A 36 is a pretty high predicted score...I'm sure you will still get your IB diploma (with 24/26 points) so I can't see why your offer would be rescinded at all.

I got a 2 on AP French Language and ND still gave me 6 intro level credits for it so don't worry about any of those type of exams impacting admissions. HS grades could however impact admissions like a most schools. My HS college advisor said that when he worked admissions at Scranton Univ., every year he'd have to call a few to rescind their offers but none of it was based on AP or IB scores.
