congratulation~~~~~ good job~!

haha omg congratz I got a letter too! It said they were missing my transcript even tho my councler sopposedly sent it out 3 weeks ago! I love my school!! =D

Thank you! I sent my application and transcripts like a month ago so I wouldn't be worried if I were you, they take forever to process the transcripts.

Ye but wen they recieve the transcripts they must acklowedge that and mark it down somewhere and not send u a letter 3 weeks later saying they have not recieved it -.-

Haha that is true, I would talk to your counselor. I made sure I got most of my applications done early so that I would be one of the only students he had work to do for. Still deciding on one last school to apply to

Yeah lol I made a appointment for next week but til then.... sigh, btw r u going for business?

When did you apply? How long did it take them to send you the letter? I got the letter saying my application was complete at the very end of October, and I was wondering when I might hear back.

Application Status: Completed Application on 10/12/2008 7:18:10 PM

That's from the St. John's site when I log back in. I got the same letter you are talking about probably at the beginning of Nov. and then my acceptance came two days ago. I got accepted for Government and Politics.

I also applied for Government and Politics! Hopefully I'll get my decision soon. I'd be pretty surprised if I wasn't accepted, but I'm hoping for good scholarship money. Congrats on your scholarship, by the way!

Thanks alot. Good luck to you. Is SJU your first choice? I think its at about 3 on my list. What is your GPA and SAT like?

Who put this under SJC Maryland, I am talking about SJU Queens,NY haha.

No, I kind of doubt I'll end up going there, but they seemed to offer some nice scholarships, and it's in New York, my first choice location, so I applied and if they give me good $$ (and if I get into the honors program, which I don't know a lot about, but it seems interesting), it'll certainly be in the running if others don't work out. I've got a 2220 SAT and 4.0 UW GPA. What're your stats?

Oh wow I wouldn't be surprised if you got a Presidential Scholarship or atleast a Scholastic Excellence Scholarship. Good luck, I have a 3.9W GPA, a little unsure about my UW but I listed it as 3.4. My SAT's are 1790, so I wouldn't be worried about getting a good amount of money, I got $10,000 per year.

Thanks, that's reassuring; I wasn't sure exactly where I fell in the applicant pool, though I knew my stats were above the middle 50% range. Good luck with your top choice schools, but it's nice to know you're going somewhere, right? :-D And St. John's seems like a nice place, though I've never been there. Have you visited?

Yeah that's true, I haven't visited St. John's, I applied kind of as a safety but I think it would be awsome to go to school in NYC especially studying Government and Politics. I think I'll end up somewhere down here but it depends on how much financial aid I get at SJU, it's so expensive.

I know, going to NYC would be so amazing. My parents think I'm crazy--they can't imagine living in any city, really--but I just love it. Where else are you applying to? I'm not applying anywhere south of DC, because I know I'd get stuck going somewhere too far south for my liking--I am, after all, in North Carolina, where everyone thinks you're crazy if you don't want to go to UNC Chapel Hill.

Haha well UNC is a good school, I would probably apply if I was from NC. But I have applied to Clemson, University of South Carolina, Florida State University, North Carolina State University, Furman University, and I am deciding between UGA, UT-Knoxville, and Auburn for my last application. Where else are you applying to?

UT's pretty good, and I like Knoxville. And NC State, if I weren't so set on heading North, I might consider it as well! I'm applying to what seems now to be too many schools: Fordham, Loyola Chicago, DePaul, Suffolk, University of San Francisco, CUNY Macaulay Honors College (@Hunter), NYU, and George Washington. And two overseas schools (Franklin College in Switzerland and Jacobs University in Germany) that are pretty much impossible dreams unless I get loads of money from them. Ha, that's pretty much a theme with all of my schools. Go you for keeping it down to a reasonable number & reasonable cost!

Hahaha I tried, St. John's and Furman are the most expensive of my list, the only private schools. Good luck with all of those, I would love to go to NYU or GWU, NYC and DC are awsome. Going to school overseas would be cool too, I lived in Italy during my freshman and junior year and it was awsome. Another one of the schools on your list I wouldn't mind going to would be U of San Francisco. So far away though and the cost of living is outrageous over there haha.
