Accepted students' aid decisions

Apparently not all letters went out Monday. My daughter just talked to the financial aid office and was told her letter went out Tuesday. (Her original question was, would she hear back regardless of whether she was awarded any aid. The admissions office, whom she talked to first, told her that most students are offered at least some aid, FYI.)

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you glassharmonica. I think it would be great if our kids were in the same school!

sigh got my aid today. I’m going to ask for more and if I don’t get it I can’t attend Bard :frowning: Anybody know the appeal procedures for Bard?

@jofro93 :(

They want you to send them a letter stating your case, but I think i’m going to call as well, to speak to someone personally.

SpiritManager, it came! And, it was the best of her offers so far. So now we really have some thinking to do and probably another trip to Bard to sit in on classes.

Yay, turntabler! I’ve been following your journey. Glad you made. I hope you’re happy there. Congratulations glassharmonica! Go to Accepted Students Day. That’s a good overlook.

Thanks, danceclass! Your input has been very helpful over the past few months, I truly appreciate it!

Letter came. Good and Generous offer.

Hello,
Does anyone know when we’re hearing back about financial aid if we have sent an appeal letter since the beginning of April? I’m starting to get worried since I have to make my decision by May 1st.

Alice - I think we’re supposed to hear sometime on the 20th. Good luck!

Good luck to everyone appealing for more aid!

And a reference for people applying for the class of 2017:

My EFC was ~$12,000 a year, and Bard gave me $32,000 in a scholarship (I think it’s a need-based one but I’m not sure yet), and $7,000 in federal loans.

If it’s called “Bard Scholarship”, it’s need based.
