Accepted Students' Day?

Greetings, all!

Does anyone on here know whether we were supposed to RSVP for TCNJ's accepted students' day on April 4th? I remember receiving a "Save the Date" sort of card in the mail, but I cannot remember if I had to respond to this.

Thanks! :)

because I couldn't figure out where to RSVP. They said they were sending out more information about Accepted Students Day next week.

My son just did this yesterday. Actually, first he said, "Mom, am I registered for TCNJ's accepted students day?". I replied, "I don't know, are you?". He found the registration online somewhere on the site and printed out the confirmation.

You don't happen to know where he found it, do you? I am racking my brains and getting confusing answers from the office!

Dear Dobie,
Thank you so much! You are kind and your child is a genius.

Thank you! :)

i'll probably go.... this things make me uncomfortable.. am i supposed to bring anything?

I don't think so. Yeah...new experiences are quite nervewracking. This is why my friend and I are going together! :)

true that, i'll probably go with my boy... say hi to me!

A genius...heh. I would actually classify him as a smart athlete.

Having gone to various accepted student days three years ago with my daughter, I think that all you need to bring is a critical eye, presuming you are making a choice between TCNJ and other schools. For example, I know that although my daughter and I loved Colby College, after making the trip, the thought of eight hours in the car in possibly inclement weather on a semi-regular basis was a bit daunting. And yet she wound up at Washington and Lee, which isn't exactly close. Go figure.

Remember, the college is out to impress you at this point. In my son's case, he has already accepted admission, but his father has yet to see the school, so off we all go.

When I checked the "make your schedule" thing, it seemed like they had some pretty cool stuff up on there. My girlfriend is doing one of those overnight visit things and she said she loves it

i live only about an hour and 30 away, so the trip is nothing for me... however, i did plan a couple of things.... only the important ones really.. like I can tell you right now i'll be at the "tcnj as a national name" and "incoming transfer student" sessions

if you see a girl in a red flannel shirt with black leggings, say hi! :P

I will also be attending with my best friend MPerfectionist! I am looking forward to meeting potential classmates as well as learning more about the school and its programs...I have to say that so far TCNJ has been the only school where the administration and students have always been nice to me...but that's just my experience...

^^^I must concur with HazelEyez. :D

See ya there!

lol why's everyone so nervous?

I initially wasn't going to go but I think I will now. I still have to what what there is though that I haven't already checked out.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm rather excited to go to my first admitted students day...I think it"ll be interesting to see potential classmates...David91613 definitely check out the site...all the day really consists of is different presentations on a variety of topics...some are about college in general and others are more department specific...just be aware that you choose your own schedule and there may not be a program related to your intended major

I am not so excited about meeting prospective classmates as just getting to know more about the school, I'm sure a lot of kids at the ASD will end up not going so its hard to get to know anyone there.

well that's a pretty pessimistic outlook on the whole day =/ but i agree, i'm not too concerned about meeting people right then and there since the whole point it learn more about the school. that's what welcome week is for. but if i happen to meet future classmates (i'm definitely going there in the fall) then that's just an extra perk :)

ehhh i might not be able to get out of work, so i might hafta scratch the day completely. lameee i know
