Is there an accepted students day at Marquette? I seem to remember talk of something called Destination Marquette last year.

When is this usually held?

No formal admitted student day at Marquette; gives you plenty of time to come and visit. There is typically a destination Marquette day which has maybe a few other features from a standard visit. I know the dates are usually included in the acceptance packet and possibly online. You can probably check with the folks in admissions after the new year for specific details.

There are a couple of Destination Marquette days - we went the last Thursday/Friday in March, but I believe there was an earlier one. I highly recommend it. The accepted student has a student host who puts the HS kid up in the dorm and they can attend a class together the next morning. MU was at the bottom of my S’s list, but we drug him there for the day just to be sure, since H and I felt it was the best option. He changed his mind after the visit, and is a very happy freshman now!

That’s VERY helpful to know, cpeltz. I thought there was such a hosted stay but couldn’t find it mentioned online. I think it’s probably extremely useful, after several months of arm’s-length investigation of the options at hand, to physically go, look, feel the place.

I know my son has developed impressions and preferences about his options which are based more on what his classmates are saying, and on his own preconceived notions, than on the realities themselves. Having a chance to revisit in-depth would be huge.
