Accepted to college of staten island and Nassau community ?

I've been accepted to both schools and dont know which i should go to i like csi but if i go there id have to get aan apartment off campus is there any type of financial aid that could help with that ? And if not would it just make more since to live with my parents and go to nassau ? Also which has a better reputation and is csi a good school business major

Coming from someone who lives on staten island, you are probably better off with nassau community college and then transferring to a better 4 year school. You will have trouble finding an affordable apartment on staten island. Although if you do get a good financial aid award I guess its possible. CSI is an all-around decent school but its nothing special (usually last resort for most staten island kids). However as far as reputation goes I think its irrelevant with these schools. Nassau is a community college and CSI is often looked upon as a decent last resort school for Staten islanders and other new yorkers. The fact is neither are prestigious. But in your situation it would make more sense to stay at home for 2 years and then transfer to a better 4 year school to complete your degree.

okay but if i do decide to go to the college of staten island is it a good school for business major ? and i know that it’s a last resort school its mine lol, but i don’t want to go just to go nassau isn’t really a college like school i hear it’s more like high school. would it be possible to tranfer during the spring ? instead of waiting two years to the school i plan on going to ?

Im pretty sure CSI has a decent business program. I know some people going there for business. And i believe you can transfer anytime but you need a certain amount of credits before you can transfer soley with your college transcripts. If you transfer in the spring, the school may request your high school transcripts and p sat/act scores.

Also i kno Nassau is like going to high school but Im not so sure CSI is much better. It still isn’t the traditional college life. Still though CSI is a decent school and if you find a place to stay you can make the best of it. Good Luck!
