<p>Sounds like he was a special kid. Applicants are so much more than their stats. Harvard, which can be really choosy, saw something that interested them in him.</p>
<p>The only thing this may prove is that schools look for course rigor in context. If the school didn’t offer very many APs to begin with, of course Harvard can’t penalize one for not taking 10+ APs.</p>
<p>Val at my school got into princeton with a 3 in USH but he was urm with 2150+ so its what the school needs to fill certain spots in its class. I am 100% there was some URM with more AP tests and prob better sat score that they rejected because there’s a top 50 us school right next to us with an average sat of 1900-2000.</p>
