So my D got into Hofstra, from what I understand, you audition in your sophomore for the BFA. But before that, as an underclassman, are there opportunities to audition for school performances, and how theater focused can your curriculum be? Also, how competitive is it to be accepted for the BFA? Sounds kinda risky to go there and not get in to the program you want. Thanks.
@Newsie - wondering the same thing for my D.
Wondering the same for my D. I have heard the BFA is a very good program though.
My son and I met with the head of the department when we were up there for unified auditions. He said they take 16 students. Last year 32 auditioned. Typically it’s been closer to 20-25, so it seems it’s getting a little more competitive
