Accepted to SLS- ALREADY!

<p>I applied to SLS the first day they started taking applications. And just a few days ago, I got a packet saying I was invited to attend! The first paragraph of the letter reads...</p>

You should be very proud of this accomplishment, as you were chosen from amongst thousands of your peers throughout the Nation to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Enclosed in this packet are your registration forms and a checklist.

<p>The early bird often gets the worm! Congrats, and yes applicants have reported getting an invite to SLS within a week of applying in the past. Good Luck!!</p>

<p>My stats weren't the most impressive, but here goes...</p>

<p>PSAT: Don't know the individual scores off the top of my head, but I know my total was 198, with math being my highest.
Rank: 5 out of 85 (small school)
EC's: Football, Track and Field, FBLA</p>

<p>In my opinion, applying early is definitely what put me over the edge ( I applied the 18th, and the letter is dated the 19th)

<p>how long does it take on average to find out if you got accepted. lol. obviously the guy that got accepted within a few days is pretty good but what is the average time frame?</p>

<p>I recieved my acceptance a week after I applied and that was the last week of february. I'm not sure which week I'm going to though because I'm in school for both:) Hope to see you guys there!</p>

<p>I got mine about a week and a half after I applied. I applied like Dec. 28 and my letter is dated Jan. 2. I'm goin week 1!</p>

<p>My little sister just got invited to SLS... ex varsity wrestling...I don't think they have that for girls hahaha. Too funny. We would never be allowed go...stupid NY state testing and school attendance policy!</p>
