I was recently accepted to columbia's SHP and i'm filling out all the papererwork, ect. Does anyone who has attended have any suggestions for what to do while I'm there?

Well I attended the summer program at Columbia the summer of 2003. I took the game design and cg course.

I remember it being awesome! I made some friends there who I still keep in touch with today. The only suggestion I have is to participate in as many social activities your floor may do, meet many people, and go out and explore NYC. Also, if you're going to consider Columbia when applying to colleges, make use of the time you have there to ask any questions and such. I didn't know I would apply to Columbia then so I didn't do any of that. Though it may be hard to meet people of Columbia since the people who teach at the summer program aren't Columbia faculty and the RAs aren't Columbia students either.

SHP is a saturday course. Take Relativity and Quantum Theory with Hayn Park, the class is amazing. Otherwise, meet people and have fun. Don't be too serious taking notes or anything, I went to learn some things and meet new friends.
