Accepted to Temple: Class of 2015!

I started this just to see who our potential classmates cold be.
Is anyone going to any of the Temple Accepted Students' Days? I'm going to the one on 3/26 because it's the same day as the Lil Wayne/Nicki Minaj/Rick Ross concert.. :)

I’m going to the one in February.
Temple’s my first choice and if their FA package works out I’ll be there in the fall. :D

I was accepted, and Temple University is my first choice. I am defiantly hoping for a good FA package. If the package suits my financial needs, I will defiantly go to Temple during the Fall of 2011. I am hoping to go to one of the days.

Accepted!!

Im really interested in this school, do you guys mind telling me your gpa and SAT scores to see if i have a shot ?

I was accepted, going for film and media arts :P

I’m pretty sure you can get in with low scores. My GPA is a 3.8 and my SATs were 1790 but I know people get in with much lower.

Made it official yesterday. (I worked out all the finances with my mom)

How long does it take for them to process my deposit?
TUportal says “We have recieved your enrollement and housing deposits for 2011 Fall. Please allow 24 hours for processing and return to the TUportal for more information on your next steps.”
It’s been more than 24 hours. :/

I submitted mine months ago and got my housing/LLC already, and TUPortal STILL says that for me. Their websites really need a serious overhaul because nothing ever seems to work correctly.

How did you get your housing? Through MyHousing, right? What are you supposed to sign in with? Your AccessNet account? I don’t remember signing up for that.
I really don’t feel like calling Temple tomorrow. -_-

You just use the same login that you use for TUPortal. But I think you have to activate your account first at accounts.temple.edu. It makes you set up security questions and change your password.

I tried logging into MyHousing with my TUportal info AND logging into accounts.temple.edu.
Neither worked.

When you go to accounts.temple.edu, did you click on the link on the right hand side at the bottom that says “activate my AccessNet account”?

Yeah. It just says “The last name, TUid, and/or date of birth you entered does not match any entries on record. If you feel this is in error, please contact the Help Desk at 215-204-8000.” after I enter my info.

I guess you’re just going to have to call them.

With the budget cuts to Pennsylvania’s state colleges expect a 20% increase in tuition by next year. It still should be affordable but thought I’d mention it.

Alright, I called them. The guy I talked to said everything wasn’t “activated” yet and the only thing I can log into is TUportal. He said everything should be fine by tomorrow morning. He better be right.

Ok, so my deposit apparently still has not been processed since I can only log into TUportal.
How long does it normally take to process deposits?

This account has been suspended temporarily for security reasons. Please contact your system administrator regarding the status of your account.

[error: account disabled]

What.

I think my deposit processed because my TUportal homepage is radically different and I don’t have that message anymore.
However, I STILL cannot log into MyHousing. Aaaand the Tech Center is closed until Sunday Morning, so I’m guessing no Help Desk either?

Edit: And now I can’t even log into TUportal. Again.

When I try to log into MyHousing it lets me log in at first, but then when I click through on the “Click to Enter MyHousing” link it tells me Access Denied. I’ve contacted them multiple times about it and they didn’t know what was wrong, so if that’s the same in your case just keep calling them (the computer services people seemed to be the most helpful in trying to diagnose the problem: 215-204-8000) until you get someone who will do something about it. I lucked out and got a girl on the phone (at the housing office: 215-204-7184, option 5) who was willing to select my (backup, since I’m in honors) housing for me since I was unable to.

Edited to add: You also might want to send a message to their Undergraduate Admissions facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/tuadmissions</a>). Tell them your problem and they can try to figure it out for you, or they’ll direct you to the correct place to call and find out what’s wrong. They generally answer within a few days.
