Hi everyone, I've posted on this board before, and have been reading the threads on this board for a long time, everyone on here is so helpful, so thanks is advance to anyone that provides some words of wisdom for me.
Anyway, I applied as a transfer student, I'm in my fourth semester at a CC this year, but I did spend one semester abroad with a private school. I have a CC gpa of 3.85, and received a 3.35 the semester I spent abroad. I was accepted into UCONN, but I'm wondering whether or not a should apply to any other schools (and I know the clock is ticking, I think most schools have a transfer app deadline of March 1.) Can any of you suggest a school or schools for me that:
1. Are academically stronger than UCONN- I'm going to major in economics, and when I say academically stronger, I mean better off in terms of me getting a job after graduation.
2. Are good with financial aid- Parents will pay around 10 K a year towards school. I believe that my parents make between 120 & 130 K per year combined(not sure what that efc would be). I would absolutely not want to attend a school that would leave me more than 30K in debt after graduation.
3. I live near UCONN, which is a very rural area, any school in a more urban area would be a plus.
4. Gay friendly
5. Size is not so much an issue- I think there are pros and cons of both huge schools, and tiny ones.

Sorry, I know this is long, but I just wanted to paint you guys a picture of what I'm looking for, and am open to any suggestions. I have been thinking about colleges like U of Miami, and Pitzer college in CA, but I do not want to waste time and money applying to schools that A. I wouldn't have a chance at admission, or B. That even if admitted, I wouldn't be able to afford. IMO UCONN is a great school that fits me well, and from what I've been reading on forums like these, it's better to go to a solid state school on the cheap, than to go into debt for semi prestigious schools like BU (just as an example.)

ANY WORDS OF WISDOM WOULD BE WELCOME, as I feel like I have a mere couple of weeks to decide the future of the rest of my life.

THANKS AGAIN!!
