Accepted, What's Next?

Hello
I got accepted to Desautels Management yesterday, i accepted the offer and paid my deposit, what's next??, do any of you know what i should do now??, do I wait for my letter in the mail??(I live in the Middle East so this could take up to 2 weeks), to those who received their letters, does it say what the next step is??
Thank You

congrats! the only thing it asked was for you to keep up your grades and graduate this spring...you should probably start getting emails from mcgill about events and such in a couple weeks or less...if you requested housing, you can order your choices too online. that's about it for now i think, but again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I would get started on obtaining the needed visa's to study in Canada. You can find the needed information to start this process on the McGill website under International Student Services. International Student Services I've been told this process can take a while depending on where you are coming from so better to start as soon as possible. Congratulations.

Thank You both for your answers, I really appreciate them, I'm a Canadian citizen by the way so I won't need a visa fortunately

They will be sending you a predeparture guide in the mail.
(Or you can view it on their webpage: http://www.mcgill.ca/files/internationalstudents/PreDepartureGuide2009Final.pdf [PDF LINK])

It's probably the best place to start, even if you don't need to apply for a visa.

do you guys know when the deposit fee is due? and when can we start choosing housing?

I imagine the deposit is due when you accept your offer b/c the button says "Accept offer and pay deposit" - if you're from the US you have until 1 May to accept - and you can choose housing as soon as you've accepted. ("Choose" not choose, really. Unless you have a major scholarship, you can just state a preference.)

I just paid the 200CAD deposit fee, and apparently there's a 1500CAD fee for housing...

Muhahahahaha.
The fees begin!

Congrats on your acceptance.
The letter really doesn’t say much about the next steps, but if you check you minerva account it should lead you to residence. I live in Canada (out of province), so our letters are probably different. If you don’t mind me asking, what were your entrance grades? My friend applied to the same program, and she’s yet to hear from McGill. She’s a little worried that she hasn’t heard anything. It would just help to give her some solid numbers.

Thanks
