Hi! Today in the mail, I got an acceptance to a University of the East Coast, and was accepted into their honors college as well. The problem is, I never finished and didn't submit my necessary essays and the essay needed to apply to the honors college. Should I still finish them in case they need them for scholarships? Is this a mistake and will be rescinded? Thanks.

You don’t identify the college but there are some, usually with high admission rates, that admit most who apply and often don’t wait for all things required to decide to admit. Likely you still need to complete anything necessary to be considered for honors or scholarships but best to contact particular university to determine the issue.

Finish that stuff. Even if you telephone and they say, “no problem,” you don’t want to trust that. What if the person on the other end of the phone is misinformed?

Thanks! They ended up giving me a scholarship somehow…I don’t think I’ll worry too much, since I don’t think I’ll be going there.
