Accepted World Scholars 2023

A thread for any and all accepted University of Delaware World Scholars

Accepted into the Madrid, Spain program today. Has anyone else heard anything regarding their status?

I’m actually interviewing today, so fingers crossed that I’ll be posting here sometime soon! Do you have any advice? Also, how long did it take to hear back after you interviewed? Thanks so much! Congratulations!

Congrats! How did your interview go? How should I prepare for mine? I’m Skype-interviewing on 2/19.

Mine went really well (I hope)! I was expecting to be meeting with a staff member, but it was actually with a current senior in the program which definitely took the pressure off. I know it’s cliché, but really just be yourself and answer honestly. I dont know how you can really prepare other than that, and obviously think about why you’re a good fit for the program. Good luck! Hopefully we’ll be there together next year!

The biggest thing in the interviews was to just be yourself, the interviewer, Amy Greenwald Foley was awesome and really easy to talk to so just be yourself. The big questions were mostly about perseverance, times you got through adversity, times you were part of something bigger than yourself (think along the lines of brotherhood/sisterhood as thats a big thing about the World Scholars program. My interviewer loved to hear it as they want o create a family atmosphere) things along those lines. Good luck to all who interview. I heard back in about a week and a half.

I just got in to the Madrid program!! It took about a week and a half for me to hear back, as well!

I got got accepted to the program in Rome!! Took me two weeks to hear back.

I was accepted into the Madrid program  just sent in my deposit today

Congrats! Do you know if you can change your mind during first semester?
