Accepted

o snap...well then ya that makes things a bit harder doesn't it :( but ya either way you should have a good shot. Did you write a good essay?

I received my Honors Program invitation in the mail today. Definitely looks like that will be the way to go should I end up at OSU.

got my honors program invite today too.

it mentions something about special consideration to their vet school if you join the honors program...but i can't find anything about it online anywhere. anybody know about this? it'd be a fairly large part of my decision whether or not to go to OSU...

honestly, for those that are saying test scores are a big deal, i honestly cannot tell you what they are looking at. i know 17 people from my high school that have been accepted and at least 7-8 of them have ACT's between 22 and 25. Most of them lack extracirriculars, are not first-gen college students but do have 4.0's. So apparently a 4.0 or a 31+/2100 will get you in. it's been 6 weeks since my evaluation screen popped up so I've been walking on eggshells waiting since OSU's been my dream school for 13 years, while people apply 2 weeks ago and get in, kind of frustrating. however, i am very happy for those that have been accepted, and i hope to join you in the relief soon!

Ohio State I believe has essentially automatic admission for students that are highly ranked in their high school class, pretty much regardless of test score.

I BELIEVE...I'm not sure though

HI! I got my acceptance letter for OSU about a week and a half ago. I got my Honors college acceptance yesterday (12/14)! Awesomeee, I'm excited!

Stats-- 4.36 Weighted GPA, 33 ACT, 1450 SAT, 7 of 220 class rank

Here's what it says online: Received Date: OCTOBER 28, 2007.
Status: Congratulations, you have been admitted to Ohio State! You will receive your notice of admission soon.

I also received a phone call- the same day that I got my acceptance letter. I felt like the girl was asking me what they would have to give me for me to go there (in terms of scholarships).. but I could be wrong

I got the phone call today. Quite an awkward conversation. It's hard to not just be like, "Yeah, I was considering OSU, but then I got into my dream school through early action... so... thanks anyways." I just sort of beat around the bush hoping she'd leave good enough alone.

The phone calls are really awkward. I had mine not long ago, and it was okay but not overly helpful (although I did learn when I could expect to hear about scholarships).

Yea I got a phone call today as well...the student was really nice and helpful actully..

Seems to have been an active day in the OSU admissions office.

My daughter applied on November 27 and found out today that she was accepted.

Okay, i'm still mad that osu refuses to call me.....even after accepted into the university and then the honors college. Its not a big deal.....just i want a phone call too :(

Why Haven't I Gotten An Answer Yet!!!

Scout you applied a whille ago didn't you? maybe you should call them and make sure they have all your stuff

I've called them at least once a week... Trust me, they have it all.

they r probably waiting for the last one to be done then do urs cause u call so much ;)....patience the people with the lower grades and test scores go much slower..like me even tho i kno i will be deffered

Got my acceptance today. I mean, OSU is my last choice super-safety of 12 schools, but it still feels nice to get an acceptance letter :).

BTW, Stats: In-state, 2300 SAT, 3.9 UW, 4.3 W, 8 AP's, top 3% of class, etc.

If your not going then tell them

Their is a large group of people who have been wanting go there since they were 5!

Haha Scout, come on man. People are aloud to have back ups. How unfair is that for you to tell him he has to tell them? OSU is my back up too, though i wouldn't say "last choice super-safety of 12", more like second to last out of six. Are you saying i should call them and tell them i don't want to go there?

Hey, I wouldn't have applied if I knew 100% that I wouldn't go there. With a lot of the schools I'm applying to, there is no guarantee at all that I will get in. Also, if financial aid ends up sucking at any schools I am accepted at, then at least I know I can go to OSU almost for free.

For those who have dreamed of OSU since they were five, that's awesome! And I'm sure they'll have a place for you whether or not I had applied. I mean, the enrollment is 50,000!

Woo hoo! Got in today!
