freethefork: Fantastic!!!

Tulane is so exciting. Everyone seems so nice. Good vibes man!

i have no idea how it happened but i somehow got into tulane!

Woohoo! Ds finally got a yes. We’ve never been to New Orleans so I’m excited about visiting. Ds says he’s seriously considering it if the money is there.

CONGRATS youdontsay!!! Great news!!! Lots of great eateries in NOLA. We have had a serious foodfest every time we go!

Crossing my fingers for the scholarship $$ for you. Did he apply for any of the other scholarships, like community service?

Unfortunately, no. Because it wasn’t a top choice, he concentrated on just getting apps in and didn’t go too deep to figure out what was available anywhere other than his in-state safety. We’ll qualify for financial aid, and he’s applying for the Gates scholarship (and others) so we hope to piece it all together wherever he goes. I wish he had applied for the community service scholarship because I think that’s a strength of his that shines when I re-read his essays. Oh well. :(

Youdon’tsay - Deadline for CSS is January 15. Not too late!!

Yes, by ALL means, apply for the community scholarship. They can be added to the merit money awards!!

Got the formal letter today, 15K!

Way to go VF!!

Got the merit scholarship today – $20K!!! Ds was very excited.

Youdontsay-I just responded to you on Say Yes to the Dress! Maybe our ds will be at Tulane together! You’ve got an extra $20K to spend on her wedding dress!

I got my acceptance letter and was named a Founders Scholar. $20k a year! :)

Congrats everyone!!!

congrats everyday!!!

sorry i meant congrats to everybody who accepted!!! haha

Accepted! =]

Congrats illinoisgirl324, and all recent admits. (I was once an illinoisboy, and still have a soft spot for that which is connected to the state, so I’m doubly happy.)

only 20K and no honors :(

“Only 20K” Sounds pretty good to me. You should be quite proud. If you are really interested in honors, one can enter once a Tulane student.
