S got accepted on Feb 17 and offered $17K scholarship (NMF) on Feb 24. He has not heard anything about honors college or need-based aid yet. With just the scholarship, it’s not enough to make it win out over Drexel/Northeastern where he has full tuition scholarship offers. Still waiting to hear from RPI and “the reaches”.

just got my acceptance today, no moolah was given though. will def. go and visit soon!

I received a $9000/yr scholarship and my acceptance letter on 3/11, but I have yet to receive a financial aid package. RIT is just a safety, so I’m looking forward to more decisions on the 30th! =/

The price isn’t that bad with the Co-Op program, you can pay back while working in school. They find you a job involving your major and you go there for sometime during junior and senior year.

Plus there is loans.

To clarify, while they have facilities to make the process easier [career fares, JobZone Portal, etc], they won’t find co-ops for you. You have to get those yourself. Make sure you start applying sooner rather than later. Some students end up getting shafted because they waited too long to start job hunting [ie, don’t wait till May to find a Summer co-op].

Your point stands, though. The co-ops put money directly in your pocket w/ no tuition fees while you work, they bulk up your resume, and they VERY frequently lead to employment offers after graduation.
