BC says they meet 100% of your need as demonstrated by the FAFSA and CSS. Apparently your package is for a total of $18,000, so you would be responsible for paying the balance which would be about $23,000. The scholarship is for $14,000 which you don't have to pay back. $2000 is for works study, which means you will have a job on campus that will pay that much. $2,000 is a loan that you will have to pay back after graduation.

I got in today too! I went to get the mail.. saw the package.. was shaking so much that i couldn't get it out of the mailbox but saw that it was from Chestnut Hill so i knew it was from BC. I have never been so happy .. BC's applicant pool was ridiculous and I am just so happy to have been accepted.. Congratulations to all!!

I just got in today. They are definitely not bad with financial aid. I only have one more school to wait for.

Sigh I wish that my financial aid from BC was as good as the previous posts. The system sucks, but I'm done ranting. :-)

rovee- what was your fin aid package? BC gave me $16,000 a semester, plus work study, stafford loan and perkins loan it came out to $23,325 a year.. It was a little lower then what Loyola and Villanova offered me, so i was pretty happy with BC's package..On the other hand, University of Richmond offered me $37,275.00 a year!! that's practically a free ride..Ahhh, it's hard to pass that up but BC is my first choice and i love it there so im going regardless..

by the way im still shaking.. time to celebrate!! :)

congrats bcgirl and all other aceptees!

just got my official accptance today in long island!!!!

Again, congrats bcgirl13 on the acceptance! I'm glad that you got in because you totally seem like someone who would both benefit from and make a difference at the school just with your passion for it.

Haha, lets just say that my complete financial aid package (grants/loans) doesn't even match the total amount of grants that you received from BC. It's really disappointing because BC was my #1 school ever since I started looking at colleges. To make my situation even more frustrating, if I really wanted to, I could go to BC for free (ROTC scholarship for tuition and financial aid for room and board). Unfortunately, I can't decide whether or not to accept the scholarship because there are things I want to do after undergrad that I might not be able to do if I do ROTC (i.e. law school).

Shake away bcgirl13, you deserve it! :-) I wish you the best of luck at BC, and with your zeal, I know you'll do just fine.

did you guys get a financial aids package with your acceptance? i just got the folder thing with some letters and an invite to the honors program...no money????? i should get at least some fafsa...i think

rovee- Thank you!... that is disappointing /frustrating. maybe you should call the fin aid office and find out why it was so low.. anyway good luck and congrats again! :)

Hey to those accepted....I got my letter and folder but I didn't get anything about financial aid yet? Did that come with any of your letters?

hmm ash did you hand in your FASFA/CSS late? cuz you should have gotten in with it.. it was right in the left hand pocket of the folder behind the acceptance letter

I hope to get an acceptance tomorrow :)

especially after Northwestern today.. :(

I don't know if I'll be going, due to a poor financial aid package (something to the tune of $1300 a year... hey, it'll almost pay for books!), and I'm waiting to hear from a few more schools.

lol, and I thought my financial aid package sucked amanda. Congrats on getting in though. (Yay, WA!)

Rovee, Tacoma, eh? I go to school there.

Really? Well, I can think of a couple of schools over here that would have you living in GH and going to school in Tacoma. What other schools are you considering?
