when i listed my awards for my resume, i assumed that a couple of the awards i got was presented by a certain organization. however, it turns out it was presented by another organization. i actually have the awards, but is it bad if i said they were presented by a group that actually didn't present it? what if they look me up on google and see who actually presented it? i am really worried now, i dont want the college to think im lying, because it was an honest mistake

I doubt that would matter unless it was a local organization vs some international organization. Most likely they don’t look it up, and even if they do, they’ll probably realize it was a little mistake. If you’re still worried about it, you can always send an email to the colleges you sent it to and tell them the changes.

it was supposed to be a county organization instead of a state organization. however, i didn’t even know that the county organization existed, so i just put it under the state one. is that a big difference?

No, that doesn’t sound like it’d make a difference. I only think it’d seem like a big problem if it was some County award but you put it was an international award. The difference between a county and state award is probably fairly negligible.

On the common app where you checked the box for level, regional and state are grouped together (“S/R”) so I don’t think it’ll be a big deal.
