In March, I took a mandatory statewide ACT that I got a 31 on. I chose not to send my scores to any colleges for that one. I took another one in April, and got a 29 on that one. But I sent the 29 to three colleges accidentally, and now I'm freaking out, wondering if I didn't inadvertently shoot myself in the foot. Did I, or will the colleges get my 31 eventually when I actually apply to colleges? Will they disregard the 29 and only look at the 31?

You’ll have to send your score again for them to receive the 31.

I don’t think you need to worry too much though, most colleges will only look at the highest score they receive from you. Also, you can always superscore.

Nothing is automatically sent. You must order ACT to send the prior 31 score to each college, for a fee per college. Colleges generally consider the highest ACT if you send multiple ACTs; a minority superscore ACTs, meaning take the highest section scores from the multiple tests to get a new ACT composite score used for admission. One issue is whether that statewide test had the writing section. If it did not and college requires writing, it may not be considered at all even if you send it.
