Accidentally pressed "I Want to Attend" on the Accepted Students Page

My computer froze and when it refreshed, it accidentally entered the "I want to attend Tulane University" page. Now it tells me to check to see if the information that the school has on file is correct. I am still waiting to here back from more schools so I do not want to be able to access this page at the moment. I HAVE NOT submitted my deposit yet. Again, I am still waiting to hear back from more schools so I am not 100% sure that Tulane is my final choice. Will this technical issue be a problem. The website is tulaneinfo.org. I am unable to call the school as their admissions office is closed at this time.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to go to Tulane. However, I am still waiting to hear back from more schools. In the meantime, I do not want Tulane to believe that I am choosing to attend their school already, without having heard from my other choices. Does this mean that I am already bound to the school because of a technical issue, even though I HAVE NOT submitted my deposit yet?

The exact message I am getting is this:

"WELCOME TO THE INCOMING CLASS AT TULANE UNIVERSITY!

We're glad you've chosen to become part of the Tulane family and excited that you'll be joining us.

Please verify your information by May 1. If any of the prefilled information is incorrect, please call the Office of Undergraduate Admission at (800) 873-9283."

And then at the bottom of the form, it says "Submit My Deposit"

Please get back to me ASAP. I am very nervous! I am calling tomorrow but just for reassurance, I would like to know in advance if this will be an issue.
Thanks,
D

I can tell you 100% that you are not committed to Tulane by checking that box. You can even make a deposit and, if you change your mind by May 1, you get the deposit back. So no worries, you are fine. But it would still be nice to inform Tulane of your error so they can reset your profile.

Thank you so much

Yeah you are fine just do not pay the deposit yet or fill out housing. Even if you had done all of that people still end up not going to that college.

What invader says is also quite correct. It is called “summer melt”. For example, Tulane had a {too large!) class of 1680 or so say they were coming for Fall 2010, and the final number was around 1630. 50 people that had paid their deposits ended up not coming, for no doubt a variety of reasons. The summer melt this last time was less.
