Are there any preferences / sought after / popular housing choices (apartments) for sophomores and beyond… near Wash U campus? Apartments that are near the University and doesnt require a major commute…? There are quite a few listed in the apartmentfider website… just wanted to know if there is a preferred list…

Yes, there are. There are places near campus to the north, northeast and west. I don’t know about to the south. My D just rented a place within a 1 block walk to campus and I know there are apts near the Loop, which is a bit farther but still reasonably walkable. Note that the more desirable units are already being booked for fall 2016 as we speak. I don’t know about a “preferred list”; she networked.
