How generous is USC about housing for students with special needs? I send them an e-mail and explained them my situation but I am not sure if they will grant it or not.

Send a PM to HImom, she has knowledge on this subject.

I sent you a PM response. The Disabilities Office, especially the director, Dr. Eddie Roth, is very nice and will work with students. The important thing is to provide appropriate documentation that supports the stated medical needs so your requests can be considered & granted as needed.
The sooner you dialog, the better. My understanding is that housing works closely with the disabilities office to be sure that they meet student needs.

Thank you for your response. The problem is that my need is not really related to disability(it might be depending on how you see it) so I am not sure if the disabilities office is the one that I should contact. I already explained the USC Housing my situation about why I need a single room with a private bathroom.

I'd still suggest you speak with the Disabilities Office. You have nothing to lose & everything to gain by working with them (they can only help you by moving your request higher in priority, since their office does get priority in housing isses). If they can't help you, they'll be honest with you. I really was pleased in my contacts with them. There are only a very limited number of single rooms for freshmen. Good luck & pleaes post how things resolve. The Housing Office tends to be pretty responsive to inquiries, in my experience.
