emmabelle,
Did your financial aid package come with the letter? Was it a big package? Any info is appreciated. Again congratulations to you and your son!

It came in a large white envelope. Inside is a folder that says Boston College welcomes you. Inside the folder are two letters on BC letterhead and a standard package that has all the info on financial aid, housing, that sort of stuff.

The first one says he's been accepted to the College of Arts and Sciences and that from 30,000 applicants he's been chosen to join 2,250 students entering the class of 2012. It goes on to say that the package includes information of costs, housing, financial aid, orientation, enrollment confirmation and your confidential Boston College credentials. It also says that he has been assigned three years of campus housing. The letter was signed by Marybeth Chevreie, she also wrote a "Congratulations Evan" on it. Yay, nice touch.

The second letter talks about Agora and gives him his access codes for that.

Any other questions?

Mail came for my son...doesn't look good...small, thin, white envelope. BTW, we're in MA.

I'm sorry bonmar, but if EA letters are any indication that's either a waitlist or a denial :(

Uh oh..sorry bonmar. We are in NJ, so I am guessing that small envelope will be here tomorrow.

Nothing from BC in CT...so I'm guessing it only got around to Mass today...I def. think its coming tommorow.

Nothing from BC today in southern NH-daughter will be looking tomorrow.

So sorry to hear bonmar. I'm your child has lots of other great choices. College admission is very random. All colleges are looking for many different things. They want an exact fit, it's not like it was when we went to college when grades were the determining factor. Now it's EC's, SAT's, leadership etc. I guess it's good in a way because students should be happier with a better fit. Keep positive! keep praying for God to place each student where they need to be :)

Congratulations again emmabelle. I'm sure your son will be very happy. It sounds like it's a great fit for him

Thanks Guitars, his number one choice is Dartmouth, but his SAT's may sink him there. Looks like BC will get the nod.

BC is a great school, you can't go wrong there. We're in Calif so I'm sure my son will have to wait a few more days

I am ecstatic. Being a pessimist, I was expecting a rejection, but I got accepted to CSoM with Honors. When I get rejected by three Ivys next Monday, I'll enroll for sure.

Received (1:05 PM, South Central Massachusetts).

Acceptance mail looks like (spoiler warning I guess):

large, white envelope...and it's beautiful!

No envelopes, big or small in NJ...perhaps tomorrow.
Congrats to the posters that did get in

reporting in from NEW YORK CITY (staten island)

nothing here.. bummer.. or maybe it was the small envelope instead hidden under all my under mail...

Nothing in Calif. just recvd mail and zip from BC

Nothing in Maine. Hopefully tomorrow!

nothing in upstate new york.

Any internationals here??
Are we gonna be informed by courier like DHl or FedEx or somthin or just regular post? Cuz the post office in my area is quite unreliable.

I live about 15 miles north of Boston, and some kids from my town heard today, but I didn't. I called them and they said that not all letters have been mailed yet.
