Accounting at penn

can any current penn students comment on the nature of the accounting classes at penn (specifically 101 and 102); how hard are they? anything you would recommend in advance?

thanks!

bump..........................................

ACCT101 (Financial Accouting): Basic accounting, a bit dry but very useful. Usually the curve is really tough 1st semester (2nd is off semester so it's easier). The concepts, in general, though are not too tough but you definitely learn a lot and have a chance to learn stuff that most undergrad acct courses won't teach you (that's the reason why Richardson -the prof- won't accept any transfer credit for the course)...during the class you use the MBA companion and learn more advanced concepts.

ACCT102 (Managerial Accouting/Cost Accouting): Extremely boring yet extremely easy...
