accounting/finance, accounting/economics, economics/math, etc.

I hope to eventually get into investment banking but am unsure on what I should major/minor in...

Currently I'm going to school for accounting but will hopefully be transferring to the University of Michigan for economics, from there I would like to be accepted into Ross.

so if I am accepted into Ross what should I do?

double major in bba with a focus on accounting?
double major in bba with a focus on accounting and economics?
major in bba with a focus on accounting and minor in economics?
double major in bba with a focus on accounting and math?
major in bba with a focus on accounting and minor in math?
(for those of you that don't know Ross only has an undergrad program of BBA and you choose your focus)

if I cannot get into Ross should I:

major in econ and minor in math?
double major in both?

any other suggestions or variations on these majors?

thanks in advance everybody... sorry for such a lengthy question, just tryin to tie up the loose ends lol

Assuming you can get good grades, double up w/ math. That’ll impress. Within Ross, do an emphasis in Finance. Whatever you do though, make sure you get into Ross. You will be severely handicapped during recruiting if you’re not in Ross. Worst comes to worst though, double in econ and math.

Well if I don’t get into Ross I have accepted the fact that I’ll be at a great disadvantage for IBing. So I figured I could get an MBA n then try from there if that happens.

Why finance and not accounting? From what I understand accounting is harder n covers more than finance. A job in finance would be nice, but if an accounting degree could get me a chance at both with more knowledge, I would rather go for accounting ya know?

thanks for the response
