So... how difficult is it exactly to get the Accounting minor at UCI?!?!

Do most of the people who want it get the minor?

Would it be a better idea to go to UCSB for the econ and accounting major??

It is competitive. Average GPA of admission is high. Around 3.7.

You are better off going to UCSB. The program they have is more established too.

If you like the environments the same, go to UCSB. I think their program is more established as well.
However, if the UCSB environment isn’t for you, go to UCI. You’re going to need a relatively high GPA anyways if you’re interested in accounting. Although recruiters will accept a bit lower GPA than the accounting minor, if that’s what you really want to do, then I believe you’ll be able to get the GPA you need.

It’s genuinely hard to get into.

you can complete the accounting minor over the course of two summers at UCI. In all likelihood if you have a 3.8-4.0ish in your major and a 3.3+ overall GPA, relevant experience and god writing skills you’ll get into the minor even during regular session, ESPECIALLY if you’ve taken some UD management electives.

To get into the accounting minor you need a near 4.0 on the pre-req classes and 3.75+ in overall GPA.
