Acct Major: SUNNY Binghamton Uni SOM vs. IU Bloomington Kelley

Hi,

I am in a middle of a cross road choosing between 2 schools and I've asked a lot of people but they also find it hard to answer. I hope you guys could help me on this

Let me explain my situation first. I'm an transfer international student from De Anza College, CA and recently I got accepted by Indiana University Bloomington (pre-major acct) and SUNNY Binghamton University School of Management (direct admitted to acct). I really want to go to IUB Kelley because their accounting program rank #8 in the US, their alumni is much better and their faculties are awesome. It's just that they have so many prerequisites to obtain the BS Accounting and with the 150 credits for CPA exam, I would have to take 3 years at IUB Kelley. The other option, Binghamton is also have good accounting program and it's prestige in Northeast area. If I go to to Binghamton I will finish BS Acct in 2 years + one year MS acct to fulfill the 150 credit hours and take the CPA exam. (Assume that my family has the money, even though it's kinda hard too because IUB Kelley would take 120k in total to graduate BS Acct and Binghamton is only 75k MS Acct, is the 45k different worth?)

So it get down to this, should I have a BS Acct from IUB Kelley + CPA or MS Acct from Binghamton + CPA. Which one will be easier for me to get a job with any big 4 company? do they value the school's name more or the degree more? Recently I read an article from Wall Street Journal and it said school reputation does matter. What do you think?

Would MS acct be a safer choice for me to pass the CPA exam? would I perform better on CPA exam with MS Acct degree? or it's not necessary at all, all the knowledge from BS Acct could help me to pass the CPA exam?

Say if I have an MS acct degree, would you recruiters' interview be tougher? and I suppose to get to higher position?

I'm in the middle of a big cross road now and I really can't choose even though I have researched a lot. Wherever could get me a good intern and start at big 4, I would choose that school.
