Accuplacer

Hello,
I took the accuplacer last year in April 2012, while in high school as a senior. I scored a 20 in arithmetic, a 22 in college algebra, and a 66 in reading comprehension. I'm in all remedial classes, and I'm bent on getting out.

The spring semester starts in late January, and I'm going to attend a local community college. That gives me very little time to study, and the classes are not covered by my financial aid. I was waiting for the results of a high school exit exam, and I recieved them a few days ago (passing).

Any advice/ or recommendations on challenging the accuplacer? Any study guides or free online tutorials that helped you pass?

Thank You.

There is an app you can download. Look up the sample test questions ACCUPLACER provides online. Good luck!

Also note that Accuplacer is adaptive; the first few questions are critical in cycling you ‘up’ to harder questions or ‘down’ to easier ones, and that will definitely affect the placement right at the start. Thus, focus HARD on those first few questions. Also: some schools will tell you your scores are ‘good for three years’… so make sure you say, ‘No, I want to take the test again, please’ so that the testing people don’t send you away and you are ‘stuck’ with the 2012 scores. I echo Phoenixdownlol: good luck! :)
