Accuracy of Blue Book CRITICAL READING

I have recently searched for threads regarding the accuracy of the blue book critical reading sections. most seem to contend that the test in general is relatively on par, but a good many that have taken the SAT, particularly the October CR, have mentioned that the blue book's passages were much easier, with one individual going so far as to calling it a joke.

I personally believe the blue book's passages seem simpler to comprehend and retain, but what are your opinions? Will they really give you the genuine feel?

I always do better on the actual tests, so I think the blue book is actually harder for me. Really, though, I think they are about the same. Some people do better on one, others on the other.

Blue Book was a tad easier in my opinion. The sentence completion vocab questions were way easier. It was about 40 to 50 points off my real score.

I would say they are pretty close to the actual tests.

I agree about the October critical reading. In the blue book I did the first 2 and got 770 on first, 700 on second. In october I got 680.

October CR was brutal. It was slaughter for me.

I was a consistent 800 scorer on the blue book tests... I ended up with 770 on the actual one (Nov.).... blue book is for the most part accurate, with the exception of 1-2 passages on the actual test that I found to be harder.

consistent 800 scorerer?

ooo man im wayy off then =[

Don't dispair, namkim. I was a fairly consistant 700-ish scorer in the blue book but have proven to be a consistant 800 scorer on the actual test. It just varies person to person, I guess.

The October vocab was very easy. The passages were harder, but the questions weren't as deceptive. Two wrong was still an 800.
