I have a 3.8 GPA (uw) and 4.2 (w) GPA.
My biggest concert I the 28 I got on the ACT but I’m taking the SAT next week.
Anyway I was just wondering what gpa’s and test scores you guys, who were accepted to Vanderbilt, had? If you have low test score and/or GPA, what did you do that made you stand out?
Also how does Vanderbilt treat out of state students? Is the acceptance rate higher? I’m from Colorado! Also is it worth applying early decision?
Hi Redmadam: You can find the test scores and more details at any college website by typing in “Common Data Set” in the college site search window. Vanderbilt is a private college with no advantages for instate students in tuition or admittance rates. If you think you have a shot at admittance and your family has done their CSS Profile and their FAFSA and thinks they can afford their EFC (estimated Cost of Attendance as determined by Vanderbilt)…then you and your family can decide if a Binding admission is a smart decision. There are colleges that do Early Action that is non binding. Good luck on your standardized test scores. Vandy has some of the highest test score entry averages in the USA which means it is a reach school even for top quartile scores in their own admission pool stats. Make sure you apply to match colleges that match your stats and your financial reality. With concentration, that ACT may come up…do all the exams in the Red Book of Real ACTs and study your errors.
