<p>What college would be easier to get accepted into, The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences or The College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences? </p>

<p>Despite the lower 50% ranges for ACES, you should not assume it is necessarily easier to be admitted to that college. Its admission rate is usually about 5 percentage points lower than LAS which often comes in at about 68%. One of the reasons is that ACES is attune to the issue of students attempting to backdoor their way into UIUC just so they can later transfer out of ACES to another college. ACES looks to admit students it believes really want to be in ACES, through essays and ECs, and will admit those over others who appear to be just using the application to ACES as a springboard to transfer.</p>
