I have taken the SAT once (May) and will retake it again this October. I am taking the ACT this Saturday.

I have not studied much for the ACT, but I have studied plenty for the SAT. Will I be fine for the ACT(regardless of the Science section as I know the SAT does not have a Science) or will I have to do more "ACT Prep." before the test?

Anyways, I am planning on retaking the ACT in October (along with the SAST) unless I get a 30+ this Saturday.

It would be a good idea to prep for the format and content of the ACT. For that reason, it would be in your best interest to get an ACT review book.

I have an the Official ACT Prep Guide from Peterson’s. I studied a bit using that and I have taken 2 practice ACT tests from that book.

How have you found the difference in difficulty?

For the most part, I find ACT questions to be pretty easy( easier than the SAT), it’s the time constraints that make them hard. I spend too much time making sure I get them right, hence why I ran out of time on every section except for English I think.

I got a 29 (w/o prep) my first time and now I’m prepping with PR and some prac. tests. and expecting at least a 31+, hoping for a 32, would be very, very pleased with a 34+, but I have not really been working at it that much (been more focused on the SAT), so don’t anticipate on scoring that high.

Good luck

I would prep for it, you don’t have to do that much, just enough to be familiar with all the types of questions I guess, that will save lots of time on the actual test.

I recommend whatever preparation you can do, because it will certainly help. I found the tests quite different in every section, but I also found the ACT much easier than the SAT, although I prepared more for the latter. The science section should not be a concern as they don’t ask very many questions that you actually need to understand scientific concepts to answer.
