Hi everyone,

I have the same age-old question that everyone has asked a thousand times...
In your opinion, do you find the SAT or the ACT easier? Why?

Thanks!

Well, they are very different tests. I personally preferred the ACT, I found the majority of the material to be easier to answer( less trick questions ). I also thought the science part gave my score a nice boost. However, the essay on the SAT was much easier for me than on the ACT. Its shorter and comes right at the beginning when your mind is fresh, not 3 hours in like the ACT. I did much better on the SAT essay. Timing is also easier on the SAT.

I like the sat more because it doesn’t have science. On the act, I think that math, reading, and writing are all easier than those sections on the sat, but the act science just kills me. Also, the sat essay covers a much broader area than the act essay; you can write about almost anything on the sat. I got a 2200 on the sat, but a 26 on the act:(

I honestly found both very equal in difficulty and ended up with very similar scores on each (2260/34). I would recommend taking each test once and see if you have a preference for one test over the other. If you are not satisfied with your first scores, study for the test that you did better on and then retake it.
