My school recently switched to the SAT, but I have been studying for the ACT for a long time. I got a 35 composite on the ACT, but now that the SAT is coming up, I wonder if my SAT score would discount me. For example, if I got a 35 composite, but colleges see I also got an 1800/2400 on the SAT, would they look down on my scores? This is a big problem for me so far.
If you scored a 35 on the ACT why would you take the SAT?
It is a required school testing, and if I want to take some SAT subject tests, I must also report my SAT score.
Can you take the “required” SAT and then cancel?

You cannot cancel a state mandated test or you may not meet the graduation requirement. However, you don’t need to submit the SAT1 score (even if they need SAT2 scores) unless they ask for all score. Anyway, it is not likely to blow the test. It is not going to hurt you if you get a slightly lower SAT score when you get a 35 in ACT.
Note that the MME test is also for an award. The top 5 students of your school will receive a medal and the title for the All-Academic Scholar of Southeastern Conference in Michigan.
