Hey, thank you so much for clicking on this post and taking the time to read...

Okay, so i am planning to take the ACT test in April and I really need to get like a classroom course. I was looking into Kaplan and Princeton Review course, and I don't know which one to get or even to take a course. My problem is time...I am doing way to many things in school and APs... I think the only way I can get myself to study is if I take a course... so

If you or someone you know has taken one of these courses, how are they? do they really help?

I took a practice test and i did not do very well. My main problem is timing and English (English is my second language).

I want a 31+ and currently i am in the low 20s range. So which course would be most effective?

for me, at my school, there is a course run by some company, but the kids say that it is for kids who finish with like 18s, so i didnt sign up. a common alternative is to get a private tutor who you can meet with on your own time. he/she will give you legitimate homework, like "take this practice test for next time (usually not a full test)." you're kind of forced to study in that way. tutors also teach you tricks to learning the ins and outs of the test, how to approach types of problems, how to economize time, etc. personally, im getting a tutor for april.

if this isnt a good option, then you have to motivate yourself to study. get books and practice tests and make out a calendar of days until the test. mark down ahead of time exactly when you're going to take practice tests, study material, or whatever. pretend ACT is another class and you have due dates, deadlines, tests/quizzes, and then the actual ACT is your final.
