ACT curves

HEy i am a junior and am completly new to the whole ACT system. How does the scoring in each section usually work. WHat i mean is how are their curves? How many can you get wrong in each section to get a 30 on each section. How about how many can you get wrong to get a 34 or even a 36 (if you can miss any). Last year i took the pre act and was surprised. I got a 30 on english out of 32 and only got 1 question wrong.

In addition to lots of other useful information, there is a sample score conversion table on p. 63. That is the actual "curve" for the real, retired test in that booklet. Every version of the test has a different conversion (which adjusts for slight differences in difficulty, and brings the scores close to a normal distribution), so sometimes you can miss one in a given section and still get a 36, and sometimes you can't.
