Could there be any significant difference between the two tests when it comes to a potential advantage for kids who have math anxiety (or for whom it is just a weak subject)?

Ugh tell me about it. Took it twice. First test i got a 470 and second test i got a 570. I’m bot taking it again, but the math score is rather weak when juxtaposed to the 800 i got in writing T_T

I believe the two tests are just different; you should try both on practice tests to see which one is easier for you.

You’re not in a great position for either test if you’re bad at math.

The SAT is 1/3 math, and the curve is extremely harsh.

The ACT is 1/4 math, but the science section is pretty math heavy (reading graphs/tables of values, determining correlations, etc.) and the curve for both sections isn’t great either.

As for the math sections themselves, the SAT poops on the ACT. In other words, ACT math is a joke compared to SAT math.

Doesn’t matter. I sucked at both. 510 SAT, 26 ACT…Timed Math + Me = FAIL
