ACT Prep Books and Tips For Improving a Score of...

33 to 34 or 35. I know it does not seem like much, but every point could count - especially for local scholarships. I hope I do not seem like too much of a jerk, wanting to improve a 33, which I know is a decent score already. I just am really worried about getting accepted to and paying for schools like ND and Duke.

So I know the basics of the ACT...and I DID prepare for that 33, a littler per day for about 2 weeks prior. I need to know which books will basically prepare me for near-perfection. Here was the breakdown of my last test to give you an idea of what I need help with.

The books I've used so far are Kaplan 2010 edition, Princeton Review 1296 ACT Practice Questions, and the Real ACT Prep Guide (I think from 2008).
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

People seem to neglect ACT questions on this board, so I don’t think you’ll receive any help.

A high ACT score doesn’t guarantee acceptance from a certain University. They look at “extra-curricular activities”, AP, maybe out-of-class accomplishments; like volunteering. I’ve always heard that a good, personal essay helps.

But, an ACT prep book you might benefit from is “DISSECTING THE ACT 2.0: ACT TEST PREPARATION ADVICE OF A PERFECT SCORER or ACT TEST PREP WITH REAL ACT QUESTIONS” I’ve heard pretty good reviews about it; it has a lot of practice test.

I think the best advice I could give you is to just do the best you can; be you, do what you really love and whatever is meant to be, will be.
