Took the ACT today for the first time as a junior without any prep.... no practice tests or anything.... hoping for something above a 30.... in your experiences did any of you take it this early in your junior year and substantially improve towards the end of junior year or beginning of junior year like a 34+

If you took it without any prep I am quite sure you could get a nice increase with another semester or so of school and some ACT prep. Definitely!

I took it in the middle of my Junior year with no prep and scored a 31 (36'd the reading). I just took it in October of my Senior year and I'm feeling a 34+ (35-36E, 35-36M, 34-36R, 31-34S).

I took the ACT the summer before my junior year and got a 34 without prepping, but I think a large amount of luck was involved. I retook the test today and, due to a really tough math section, will probably get another 34. Eh, oh well.

i had a friend who took it w/o prep in april of her junior year and got a F*#)(#@ 35!
idk how they do it; not all ppl are created equally.
