<p>the time limits are a little more strict on the ACT than on the SAT (i.e. 35 minutes for 40 questions in reading on the ACT vs. 25 minutes for 24 questions on reading on the SAT)</p>
<p>But I think the ACT is somewhat easier than the SAT, too. I find the SAT and ACT math sections to be about equal, but I think the ACT's writing and reading are considerably easier than the SAT. (mostly because I suck at memorizing vocab, I suppose..)</p>
<p>i think the ACT math is easier than the SAT math (for me.. i can't get above 700 on SAT math, but i get 36's consistently on the ACTs i've taken... strange..)</p>

<p>and i think the writing is about the same.. you get 5 more minutes on the ACT, but i only use 25 minutes anyway, so doesn't matter for me</p>
<p>I like the ACT writing better because it's formatted like little stories. The SAT has a different story for each question. I don't know if one is necessarily harder than the other, but I prefer the ACT's format.</p>
