I took my first ACT last month and got a 23 which is low for NYU -____- I plan on studying hard and retaking it but I was wondering what the minimum requirement for Steinhardt would be??</p>

<p>P.S I already know the college board site say between 28-31 I just want to know what the lowest score you think they'd accept.</p>
<p>I’m going to Steinhardt and word on the street is that they don’t look as much at GPA/test scores as they do essays and overall fit. I don’t want to give you any number but really, I don’t think you should strive for the lowest possible score; shoot for a 36! then whatever score you get you know that you did your best. 
And the higher an ACT score, the better scholarships you can qualify for ;)</p>

<p>Don’t worry, I’m in exactly the same position because I only got a 25. I think with Steinhart it also depends on your portfolio as well (assuming you do some kind of art). If not, NYU always say they focus on the whole package of a person and not just the academics.</p>
