Act = Sat + Sat Ii

Duke requires the ACT OR the SAT with 2 subject tests. I've only sent in my ACT score because my ACT score is superior to my SAT score, and my 3 subject tests aren't exactly phenomenal (790 in native language, 710 us history, 680 math IIC).

Do you think I should still rush-send these SAT+SAT II scores to Duke?

I also spoke to an admission officer at Wash U and asked them the same question (minus my actual scores), and the lady said that she were me, she would just send in the ACT scores because Wash U doesn't require SAT IIs.

But the thing with Duke is that they require it unless I send in ACTs. I still don't get it - why is ACT = SAT + SAT II???

I don't undersatnd the logic. Why do I get the easy way out?

bump. this is really imporatnt and urgent, as deadline is nov 1. please help me.

"Patience is a virtue."

I'm waiting patiently for an answer. Please understand that this is very important to me.

The ACT includes a science section so maybe that is why? I also know that where I live (North Dakota) the closest place to take the SATII is 100-175 miles away so some people can only take the ACT. My school doesn't even say anything about the SAT besides giving the juniors the option of taking the PSAT.

So then this must hurt me because I live in MA, where the nearest place to take the SAT II is like a mile away.
