I know the following will need to increase; however, what will be considered or which is better.

SAT:
Math - 640
Reading - 540 (uck!)
Witing - 630 (yea I know it does not matter)

ACT:

English - 31 (Loving that!)
Science - 28 (ahhhh, does not matter)
Math - 26 (Why could that not have been the same as science)
Reading - 25 (haaaa, this is a strength)
Combined - 28

According to the ACT / SAT charts that I found on line (3 total). they all show the combined 28 to be equal to a 1920 SAT.

This stuff can drive a parent nutty!! Feedback please, it was the first time for taking each test. The kid is planning to take another.

I am not ‘in the know’…but our child’s BGO said to go with the test that gives you the highest math score if otherwise the bottom line scores are about equal, as math is looked at most significantly.

Okay so I can read into things so please don’t beat me up too bad. It was mentioned that “USNA superscores, which means they will take the highest scores from each test”.

Does this mean they would take the 31 in English from his ACT and if he scores higher in math on the SAT (next test) lets say 700. Would they combine the M - 700 & E -31.

Or

Do they just take the overall best of which ever test was better?

I’m not on the level of understaing what this superscore is all about. I’m just a Dad and much has changed over the years. Thank you in advance…

Sorry, I should have been more clearer…I meant for each section. Example:

Student gets a 600 (CR), 800 (Math), and 600 (Writing) on each section of SAT 1st go round. He takes it again and gets a 700 (CR), 700(Math), and 700 (Writing). USNA will take the 700, 800, and 700, because those are the highest scores; same goes for the ACT.
