act/sat

hello-

This has probably been answered in a previous thread..but I can't find it right now so here it goes:

If I took both the SAT I and the ACT but did better on the ACT, should I self-report my SAT I score on the app or not? I know that when I send scores from collegeboard, USC is going to see everything anyways..so..I don't know.

Thanks!

You are right, it has been discussed many times. Answer is it does not make one it of difference. USC (and every other college) want to make themselves look good, so they use the higher score for their purposes. The only possible exception may be if there is a vast discrepancy between the two (e.g., 33 on the ACT and 1800 on the SAT), in which case you should consider using the optional answer on the app to explain the situation.
