<p>Did u guys submit all your act scores to these schools? bc technically you can delete old schools with ....</p>
<p>//"How do I delete a test date record?</p>
<p>//Students own their test scores and may direct ACT to delete their scores for a particular test date from our records. //(Note: Students may not delete scores used to document participation in State and District Testing.)</p>
<p>//To delete your scores for a particular test date, you must submit a written request. Provide us with your name and home //address, and we will mail you a form to complete and return to us. We will then permanently remove your record for that //test date from our files. All scores from that test date will be deleted."</p>
If you send a letter to the ACT, you’ll get back a form that says they will permanently delete your test score(s) that you choose to delete.
It says they will also write a letter to your high school telling them the scores have been deleted and the HS should delete from their records.
Has anyone ever tried this?
Some schools ask that you provide all test scores, but it would seem if the test score is deleted, it doesn’t exist to provide anymore. Also, some applications (like UC) say:
"Report ACT and/or SAT scores on your admissions application, then request that an official copy of the scores be sent to us from the testing agency. "
Penn says:
" No preference is given to either test, however Penn requires applicants to submit their entire testing history. If applicants have taken both the SAT and the ACT, they must submit their testing history from both exams. Penn will pay attention to the highest scores from any test when reviewing a candidate’s application, but having the complete testing profile provides deeper insight.
Official scores must be sent directly to the University of Pennsylvania. Do not wait until after you receive your scores to send us the results. Please reference the application deadlines.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that official score reports are released and submitted to the University of Pennsylvania for all tests taken."
But for both, if the score is deleted by the ACT, it is not possible to “ensure that official score reports are released and submitted to the University of Pennsylvania for all tests taken.” The official score report will have been permanently deleted and can’t be sent.
Same for UC. If the score is deleted, you can’t request an official copy be sent to UC from the ACT.
Just remember if a school finds you did NOT send a score they can dismiss you due to falsified credentials In the event you graduated they can take back your diploma. Is the risk worth it?
