ACT Score Submission

I’m applying early action to Purdue in order to get Honors College consideration (the deadline is November 1 at 11:59) and I was wondering: do colleges want the ACT score SENT by the deadline or RECEIVED by the deadline?

thank you!

I sent my ACT scores last Thursday and applied on Sunday night to a (different) Nov 1 school. I was afraid they were going to be late, so I emailed the rep and asked if it would pose a problem for my application - he said no, but it might vary from school to school. Fortunately, the school asks for the scores electronically, and it looks like the ACT did a wave of reporting today, because that school received my scores this morning - a lot earlier than expected. If you talk to admissions, hopefully give or take a few days doesn’t matter much!

You will likely need to contact Purdue and see if you are OK because according to its instructions, it is one those colleges that actually requires all required materials to be in its hands by the Nov 1 deadliune for you to be considered for the honors college, see http://www.admissions.purdue.edu/apply/deadlines.php and click on Freshman (First-Time College Student) Application
