Hello!
I just got my ACT score. 31 composite. English: 34. Reading: 33. Math: 31. Science: 27.
I, unfortunately, got a 7 on the writing portion.

I want to apply to the film school at USC. How is this score? Is it any where near good enough for USC? How important is the writing score?

Your score from act.org show the equivalent to a 2060 on the SAT. I would check USC website to see what the average ACT score is that they receive from applicants.

Typically I have found that when comparing scores, the ACT scores seem to be a bit higher. I think that is because the students that do well on it usually do better on that test than the SAT and are typically good test takers anyway. There are also more SAT applicants applying (west coast school) than ACT applicants - this will most likely change over time as the ACT gets more and more popular.

My guess for film is that you are all good for test scores. If you are submitting a portfolio/films - focus hard on that.
